Project End Alopecia (Gluten-Free): Day 3

Day 3 and we are more prepared and stocked up than ever!
Starting the day off right as we have all the usual affair for Little Claire’s breakfast ready to go (except for bread, but we live next door to IGA supermarket!).
Meal #1: Breakfast
She wanted cereal for breakfast, so here’s the usual deal:
- 2 teaspoons of Nature’s Path Whole O’s
- 1/3 avocado diced
- Few almonds, walnuts and GF sprouted pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 cup organic cow milk
- 1 teaspoon Nordic Naturals Baby DHA Liquid
Meal #2: Lunch
A while ago we noticed her decreased appetite for lunch so we’ve been on light-lunch mode for a few weeks:
- 1 free range soft-boiled egg (it’s her favourite but we only do soft-boiled if the eggs are fresh; I got them farm-fresh yesterday from a local farm)
- Handful of small orange grape tomatoes from a local farm
- 1/2 ear of corn cooked in bone broth
Afternoon snack was a satsuma mandarin.
Meal #3: Dinner
Dinner was rice with my ensemble of free-range and antibiotic-free pork cooked in olive oil with garlic, fennel, pineapple, and 4 large tomatoes, seasoned with salt, pepper, and a bit of demerara sugar.
She snuck in a piece of OKA artisan cheese for snack, which I’m not sure is or isn’t GF, but I think I can let it slide for now.
As usual, weekday topical treatment is organic ginger juice with a few drops of cedarwood essential oils + cypress or lemon essential oils.
Not much to update, except that I’m obsessed with the top+crown area and the right parietal ridge as they are the really visible patches. The occipital bone and nape areas are showing encouraging signs of regrowth every day. It’s still early to tell if the reduced gluten intake is playing a role.
Stay tuned and check back for my updates right here on this blog.
